Day Care Center Adjusts Sign After Fraud Allegations

A day care center in Minnesota, known as Quality “Learning” Center, recently changed its sign following a video release by citizen journalist Nick Shirley, which suggested fraudulent activity. The corrected sign now properly spells “Learning” above the previously misspelled word.

Even though the nursery made the spelling change, it was noted that the address displayed below the sign—supposed to read “Nicolette”—was also incorrect.

Shirley’s video, which circulated widely on social media, presented visits to various childcare facilities in Minnesota that reportedly received substantial federal funding, yet appeared to have no children present.

In his findings, Shirley highlighted that one of these facilities was the Quality “Learning” Center. As he approached the center, an unidentified woman shouted not to enter and mistakenly claimed that he and his companion were Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

“There’s no one here,” Shirley remarked in the footage.

After the video went viral, reports indicated a remarkable change at the daycare center. One local resident mentioned that they had “never seen any children go in there” before this past Monday, even assuming the place was “closed for good.”

The Quality “Learning” Center, initially mocked for its misspelled sign, has reportedly become “bustling” with children since the video surfaced, as confirmed by a resident who noted the unusual activity just three days after the allegations were made.

Ibrahim Ali, the center’s manager, clarified that the facility serves around 50 to 80 children daily and employs about 25 staff members. He affirmed, “There is no fraud going on.”
