Megyn Kelly’s Candid Celebrity Opinions
Megyn Kelly wrapped up 2025 with some bold statements about her experiences with celebrities. During a recent show, the 55-year-old journalist was asked about her least favorite A-lister, and Jane Fonda immediately came to mind.
Kelly recalled a 2017 interview where Fonda seemed “offended” by inquiries regarding her plastic surgery. According to Kelly, the actress asked her to “keep her distance” from certain topics, particularly in relation to her intimate scenes with Robert Redford in “Our Souls at Night.”
Additionally, Kelly didn’t hold back on her views about Bruce Willis, describing him as “very dishonest” and “very unworthy” based on their past interactions. Notably, she mentioned that Willis, now 70 and facing frontotemporal dementia, appeared visibly unhappy during their 2006 conversation on Fox News.
Interestingly, Kelly mentioned she had no specifics on why she felt distaste towards Al Roker from “The Today Show.” Instead, she cryptically related a hypothetical scenario involving her mother and Roker, suggesting a rather amusing yet ambiguous connection.
She continued her critiques by expressing disappointment in Ellen DeGeneres, sharing an unflattering story about an “immediate family member” who worked on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Kelly claimed that staff were instructed to avoid eye contact with DeGeneres when she passed by, an approach she found shocking and indicative of her character.
On the positive side, Kelly praised several celebrities. She described Russell Brand as “warm,” commended Kathie Lee Gifford as “lovely,” and spoke highly of Jada Pinkett Smith, calling her “kind and genuine.” It seems there’s a mixture of admiration and criticism in her celebrity interactions.
Representatives for Fonda, Willis, Roker, and DeGeneres hadn’t responded to requests for comments at the time of this report. Overall, it’s clear that Kelly feels strongly about those in the limelight, both good and bad.
