Pittsburgh Steelers’ TJ Watt Set to Return Against Ravens
T.J. Watt, the standout linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, expressed enthusiasm about facing off against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday. This comes just three weeks after he underwent surgery due to a partially collapsed lung.
The 31-year-old last took the field in Week 14 against the Ravens, but unfortunately was hospitalized shortly thereafter when the injury occurred during a needle procedure at the Steelers’ training facility. “I feel really good. I don’t think I could have said that a week ago,” Watt said, indicating his excitement to return to play.
The upcoming game is critical, as it serves as a win-or-go-home scenario. The team that emerges victorious will secure the AFC North title. Just last week, the Ravens triumphed over the Green Bay Packers 41-24, notably without their injured quarterback, Lamar Jackson. Conversely, the Steelers faced a setback, losing 13-6 to the Cleveland Browns in a decisive Week 18 clash for the division title and playoff opportunity.
This weekend’s game will be boosted by Watt’s return to action. He participated in 13 games this season, accumulating seven sacks, three forced fumbles, and a total of 53 tackles. Watt, who has consistently made an impact, has been selected for the Pro Bowl during each of the last seven seasons.
Throughout his career, Watt has made quite a name for himself, securing 115 sacks and forcing 36 fumbles over 134 games. It’s evident he’s always been a significant presence in the defensive lineup.
The Steelers and Ravens are set to compete on Sunday at 8:20 PM ET. Should be an exciting matchup! I think a lot of fans are really looking forward to it.
