Jack Schlossberg Honors Sister Tatiana Schlossberg

Jack Schlossberg shared a heartfelt tribute on social media to his sister, Tatiana Schlossberg, on the day of her funeral.

The 32-year-old politician posted on Instagram, indicating that he would share several quotes throughout the day. The first one was written by his sister in 2019, discussing the idea of “unscrupulous consumption.”

“It is up to us to build a nation that takes seriously its obligations to the planet, to each other, and to the people who will be born into a world that looks different than our world has for the past 10,000 years or so,” the quote stated.

In his post, Jack also included a childhood photo of them together and quoted several famous works about grief and loss. Among these were Alfred Tennyson’s “Crossing the Bar” and Robert Frost’s “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.”

He referenced some former presidents, like Abraham Lincoln and his grandfather, John F. Kennedy, quoting, “There are three things that are true in life: God, human folly, and laughter. The first two are beyond our comprehension, so we must do what we can about the third.”

Jack’s touching post came as he joined family members at a private funeral in New York City’s Upper East Side, where they gathered to remember Tatiana. I heard her youngest brother spoke at the service, which included a Catholic mass.

Tatiana passed away at the age of 35 on December 30 after battling acute myeloid leukemia.

She is survived by her husband, George Moran, and their two children, as well as her parents, Caroline Kennedy and Edwin, along with her siblings, Jack and Rose. The JFK Library Foundation announced her passing on social media, saying, “Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts.” Tatiana’s diagnosis came to light on November 22, when she revealed she had been diagnosed just seven months earlier.
