Arch Manning Loses Key Receiver to Rival School
Arch Manning will soon be without one of his main targets and a close friend. Wide receiver Parker Livingston, who also played quarterback at the University of Texas, is transferring to Oklahoma State, a principal rival. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported this news recently.
In his redshirt freshman year in 2025, Livingston had a solid season, catching 29 passes for six touchdowns, contributing to a total of 516 receiving yards, making him the third-highest receiver on the team.
Before settling on Oklahoma State, he also visited Indiana, exploring his options for the next step in his career.
Livingston expressed his gratitude on social media, reflecting on his time at Texas. He wrote how, as a kid, he never thought he’d get to play for the Longhorns. He thanked coach Steve Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, noting that his last two years had been incredibly fulfilling.
He mentioned the challenges of college football, saying, “I never thought I would enter the portal seeking a new home. Some things are beyond my control. That’s just how it is in college sports. I gave my all every day for the university, my teammates, and the Texas community. I am thankful for the experience.”
Earlier this month, when Livingston entered the transfer portal, Manning shared a poignant photo of them together on the field, complete with an emotional emoji.
Livingston had a breakout performance earlier in the season, particularly shining in a game against San Jose State where he recorded four receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Overall, he ended the 2025 season with 29 catches and six touchdowns. Notably, he caught two passes for 29 yards in a significant win against Oklahoma in October.
