Nick Shirley’s Coverage of Immigration and Free Speech
Nick Shirley, a journalist, has gained significant attention due to his reporting on a daycare scam affecting Minnesota taxpayers but his work extends beyond that. He recently shared insights from his experiences in London.
“I’ve spent a lot of time there,” he mentioned during a conversation with John Doyle on Blaze TV. “I went to various marches because I was intrigued by discussions around illegal or mass immigration. It’s fascinating how that topic has shifted the landscape in London.” He reflects, perhaps a bit hesitantly, on the complexities of what qualifies as legal versus illegal immigration.
Doyle expressed concern, asking, “Should I be worried about creating content that might get me arrested for hate speech?”
Surprisingly, Shirley responded humorously, noting the relative safety he feels while filming in London. “You don’t really have to worry about being attacked or arrested there,” he said, adding that he usually shares his videos only after leaving the city.
Recently, he noted a surge in public protests against censorship and mass immigration policies, highlighting an astonishing turnout of more than a million people on the streets. “It’s not just about how many actually care, but the sheer number supporting us, many of whom feel directly impacted by these issues, was quite remarkable,” he explained.
These protests centered primarily on themes of free speech and immigration.
Doyle followed up, inquiring about the response of the British public towards American supporters like Shirley. “That’s absolutely true,” he replied, indicating that many feel a sense of security and pride due to Trump’s support for Western values and his stance against the potential degradation of these values.
