Sinaloa Cartel Transporting Meth to Spain Using Marble Slabs

A recent video has revealed that the Sinaloa cartel has been using marble slabs and sculptures to smuggle methamphetamine from Mexico into Spain. In a coordinated effort with the US Drug Enforcement Administration, Spanish authorities executed several raids and arrested nine individuals as part of a crackdown on cartels and their associates in the region.

These raids took place across multiple cities in Spain over the past few days, aiming to dismantle a group identified as a significant supplier of methamphetamine in that area of Europe. The Spanish national police shared clips on social media showcasing parts of the operations conducted by officers.

During these operations, officers were seen breaking apart marble slabs reportedly used by cartel members for drug transportation into Spain. A businessman was also detained; he utilized his legitimate marble business to help move and hide the illicit drugs.

In one of the raids on this individual’s properties, authorities uncovered a concealed bunker containing €3 million in cash, which is believed to be derived from drug activities.

The National Police stated in their announcement that these raids are part of an ongoing investigation that started in 2023, referred to as Operation Saga. This operation previously led to one of the largest methamphetamine seizures in Spain’s history. Following that, the Sinaloa Cartel re-established its foothold in Europe by teaming up with local human traffickers.

According to Spanish authorities, one of those arrested was a crucial leader overseeing a network that coordinated drug trafficking between Mexico, Dubai, and Spain.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, Spanish officials are intensifying their efforts against Mexican drug cartels, which are expanding their influence in Europe and forming successful collaborations with other criminal organizations, including the Italian and Russian mafia.
