Ashley Tisdale seems to have stirred up some drama among her mom friends.
Hilary Duff recently praised her mom group members after Tisdale criticized them in a pointed essay featured in The Cut.
On Wednesday, Duff shared a picture of a sizable jar of soy eggs on her Instagram Story, tagging fellow mom group member Janice Gott.
In her post, Duff said, “You’re really qualified for this delivery.” She added a drooling face emoji, perhaps hinting at a fun camaraderie among friends as she acknowledged the gift.
This post suggests that Duff plans to keep collaborating with Gott and other group members like Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor.
Tisdale, age 40, had expressed her frustrations about the group in her essay titled “Farewell to the Toxic Mom Group,” published last week.
She accused her mom friends of having a “girly mean attitude” and claimed she felt excluded from various outings.
In fact, she felt that she never quite fit in with them and decided to step away from the group. She mentioned texting the chat, saying, “It’s too high school for me and I don’t want to be in it anymore.”
Tisdale, who has two daughters with her husband, Christopher French, emphasized that the group’s atmosphere was no longer healthy or positive.
Interestingly, she wasn’t included in a group photo taken during a vacation to Hotel El Lobra in Ojai, California, back in October 2025, a snapshot shared by Gott that featured Duff, Moore, and other friends.
The last time Tisdale appeared with the group was in a post from December 2024, where Gott expressed her desire for more pictures with her friends and shared some light-hearted reflections on motherhood.
Gott, who runs a breast pump company, has yet to comment on Tisdale’s remarks, but another member, clothing designer Sammy Ryan, reacted after the essay was released.
She shared a video of a man reciting lyrics from Megan Thee Stallion’s song while taking a subtle jab at the situation.
In the video, the lyrics emphasized confidence and self-worth, wrapping up nicely with Ryan’s commentary about feeling good in 2026.
Meanwhile, Duff has kept quiet about the allegations of toxicity within the group, but her husband shared a bold post on Instagram this week.
Matthew Koma posted a picture of himself in the same outfit Tisdale wore for her The Cut photoshoot and playfully altered it to look like a magazine spread.
His post read, “When you’re the most self-centered tone-deaf person on the planet, other mothers tend to shift their focus to the actual toddler.”
Koma and Duff, who married in 2019, share three children—Banks, Mae, and Townes.
In a unique response, Tisdale’s husband also chimed in, quoting, “It’s your choice whether or not to get involved.”
