Networking Night in West Village
Networking events and parties often blend together, creating memorable evenings that people recall fondly the next day. On October 30th, a unique gathering took place in the West Village called the Champagne and Caviar Masquerade Mixer. This event drew in founders, emerging investors, cultural personalities, and nonprofit leaders, all coming together for a night filled with networking and celebration. It also supported the Casita Maria Arts Education Center. To keep the energy lively, DJ Axel surprised attendees with a rap performance.
The menu was thoughtfully curated, featuring an intriguing array of dishes. To start, guests enjoyed a lasagna nigiri, a creative twist combining pasta with béchamel, crème fraiche, caviar, and spicy tuna. This was followed by polpo croccante served with potato purée and other flavorful elements, alongside beef tartare rustica featuring egg yolk and crostone. The dish of seared scallops over cauliflower cream and melted provolone del Monaco set a calm tone for the evening.
Dinner was structured in two tasting formats. The three-course option included pasta choices like tagliatelle with pistachio and tuna tartare, or spaghettone accompanied by sea urchin beurre blanc. For dessert, there was either tiramisu espresso or millefeuille chantilly. The five-course menu offered more elaborate dishes such as Filet Mignon d’Oro with Barolo reduction, Lobster Royale with béchamel and caviar, and a Vegan Milanese featuring cashew emulsion. Throughout the evening, champagne was regularly served, enhancing the mood rather than just being a focal point.
During the event, casual conversations naturally turned into discussions about work. Attendees exchanged insights on deals, philanthropic endeavors, and future projects. The essence of the night was simple yet effective: bring together the right individuals, serve discerning cuisine, and provide ample reasons to stay. Everything flowed smoothly from there.
This gathering served as a reminder that some of the most captivating experiences in New York happen in spaces where intention often beats mere attention. With the evening progressing at its own rhythm, it highlighted how hospitality continues to play an important role in shaping the city’s cultural and business scenes.
