Colombian Pop Star Dies in Plane Crash

A tragic accident has claimed the life of Colombian pop star Eison Jimenez, who died in a plane crash alongside five others. Interestingly, he had previously expressed a haunting premonition about such a fate.

On Saturday, Jimenez, aged 34, was en route to perform in Medellin, Colombia’s second-largest city. The small plane carrying him and fellow musicians tragically crashed shortly after departing from an airfield in Paipa, a town in central Colombia. Reports indicate that the aircraft caught fire upon impact.

Also lost in the crash was Wiseman Mora, Jimenez’s photographer, who had shared a poignant video of the group moments before takeoff.

Known for his contributions to Colombia’s folk music scene, Jimenez had recently recounted a disturbing recurring dream about dying in a plane crash. “Three times, I dreamt the plane crashed. I had to insist to the pilot to turn back. And then, he would respond, ‘Oh, boss, something went wrong. I appreciate your advice, but it’s all sorted, just get on board,’” he shared in an interview.

In a reflection of his ominous dreams, Jimenez said, “It was a dream. And one time, I even dreamt we were dead and it made the news. It was the third time this happened. I think I was given three signs by God, but I didn’t get them, I just didn’t understand.”

Remarkably, just ten days prior to the fateful flight, Jimenez had been involved in another emergency situation with the same plane, just before his son was born. He recalled, “As we took off, I felt a strange puffing sound, and the plane began to shake.” It was alarming to note, as a photographer onboard noticed water leaking from the engine.

Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority is currently investigating the cause of the crash. They expressed their sorrow in a statement, offering condolences to the families, friends, and fans of those who lost their lives in the incident.
