Colombian singer Yeison Jiménez, 34, dies in plane crash just hours before concert

Colombian singer Eison Jimenez has tragically died at the age of 34.

The artist, known for his song “Vete,” was in a plane crash on Saturday around 4 PM. He was taking off from a small airfield in Paipa, Colombia, as reported by local media.

The aircraft, which included the pilot, co-pilot, and Jimenez’s photographer, Wiseman Mora, caught fire during the incident.

Just moments before the crash, Mora posted a video showing the plane and its pilot preparing for departure.

They were en route to a concert in Medellin when disaster struck.

His family shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, expressing that they were not just losing an artist, but also a son, brother, and friend—a man filled with dreams who inspired many.

The Colombia Civil Aviation Authority is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

Remarkably, Jimenez had previously mentioned a disturbing premonition about a plane crash. “Three times I dreamed that the plane crashed, and I told the pilot to turn back,” he had shared with a local outlet last month.

In that conversation, Jimenez recounted how the pilot dismissed his concerns, claiming the issues had been resolved.

After the accident, his family released a statement, emphasizing the impact Jimenez had on those around him.

He remarked on his dreams, stating, “In one of those, I saw we were dead and it was on the news. It happened three times. God gave me three signs, but I just couldn’t grasp them.”

Jimenez also recalled a recent emergency landing he experienced. He described how the plane shook during takeoff and noticed something unusual.

His cameraman also observed water leaking from the engine at that moment.

Survived by his wife, Sonia Restrepo, and three children, Jimenez leaves behind a legacy that touched many lives.
