Hailey Bieber Addresses Repost Rumors
Hailey Bieber has pushed back against claims that she shared a fan video describing Justin Bieber as a “permissive codependent” in their marriage, which allegedly tolerates “abuse.”
On Saturday, through her Instagram Stories, she commented, “I know you guys living on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost the video talking about my relationship.” She wrapped up her message with a light-hearted, “Have a wonderful Saturday!”
These accusations came shortly before, when a TikTok user argued that many long-term relationships, celebrated by society, thrive only because women tend to be “forgiving codependents.” The TikToker specifically pointed to Hailey and Justin, claiming that when a woman “tolerates mediocrity and abuse,” she often does more than her share of the emotional and domestic labor in the relationship.
This user went on to label Justin as an “addict,” suggesting that an addict cannot be a fair partner. She asserted that Hailey likely “tolerated” what she framed as “abuse.”
In the comments section of the video, some fans were quick to claim Hailey had indeed reposted it, with one saying, “That’s impossible.” Others echoed that sentiment, stating, “Hailey’s repost is crazy.” A few mentioned they discovered the video through a businessman who had shared it.
Still, a number of fans rushed to defend Hailey, speculating that she might have unintentionally shared the video.
The couple, married since 2018, has maintained a united front in the face of persistent breakup rumors over the years. They have a one-year-old son named Jack Bruce.
Justin has drawn attention for his behavior recently, sparking gossip about possible drug issues. Yet, a representative for him dismissed these claims as “exhausting and pathetic,” asserting that some people are intent on perpetuating negative narratives. The spokesperson maintained that both Justin and Hailey have been in good spirits since the arrival of their son.
