Kenyon Sadiq Declares for the 2026 NFL Draft
Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq has officially declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, sharing the news on Tuesday evening.
During his junior year, Sadiq had a standout season, leading the team with 51 catches, totaling 560 yards, and scoring eight touchdowns.
He consistently performed well, logging four games with at least five receptions and eight games with at least four. In the College Football Playoff, he made 11 receptions, although Oregon was ultimately eliminated by the undefeated Indiana team.
Prospects are looking good for Sadiq, as many analysts expect him to be a first-round pick. In fact, Steve Serby of the Post has him slotted as the No. 15 pick for the Buccaneers in his early mock draft. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranks him as a top ten candidate for this year’s draft.
Additionally, Pro Football Focus lists him among the top tight ends available.
In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, Sadiq expressed gratitude towards his coaches, saying, “Thank you Coach [Dan] Lanning and Coach Mehringer for believing in me from the beginning and equipping me with the necessary skills to grow as a person and player.” He also acknowledged the support from the training, nutrition, and support staff throughout his three years at Oregon.
The Future of Oregon’s Quarterback
Another focal point for Oregon is the future of their star quarterback, Dante Moore. Rated as a potential No. 2 pick in the draft, Moore has yet to announce his intentions regarding this year’s draft.
Reflecting on the recent Peach Bowl loss, he mentioned that the draft wasn’t on his mind at the moment. “I’m just going to enjoy this moment… The most important thing is to give my teammates a hug and thank them,” he explained, adding that he plans to talk things over with Coach Lanning and his family before making a decision.
If Moore decides to enter the professional ranks, Oregon State is prepping to bring in Dylan Raiola, a transfer from Nebraska, who would take over as their primary quarterback in 2026.
