JD Vance criticizes Terry Moran for implying that Obama deported migrants without issues.

Vice President J.D. Vance responded to what he labeled a “radical left” journalist’s comments suggesting that the Obama administration had an effective strategy for deporting illegal immigrants.

On Tuesday, Terry Moran, a former ABC News correspondent, criticized a viral video from Minneapolis showing chaos surrounding an arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. Moran noted that during Obama’s presidency, over three million individuals were expelled from the U.S. He argued that “masked gangs” don’t just invade neighborhoods and abduct people without judicial warrants, describing such actions as sheer force rather than lawful procedure.

Vance dismissed Moran’s claims, calling them “totally bogus.” He pushed back against the notion of Obama being a “transporter,” clarifying that under Obama’s leadership, individuals who were turned away at the border were considered deported. He pointed out that currently, the Biden administration is allowing entry, necessitating deportations from within the country.

“In non-sanctuary cities, deportation processes are generally organized,” he noted, adding that certain cities have initiated resistance against immigration officials. Vance characterized this disruption as misguided, insisting that such tactics won’t deter enforcement efforts. He also remarked that Moran pretended to be an impartial journalist until his termination as a so-called left-wing extremist.

Moran was let go from ABC News last year after criticizing Trump and Chief of Staff Stephen Miller on social media. ABC News cited breaches of their policies concerning objectivity and professionalism in their decision not to renew his contract.

Previously, Moran described Miller as a “world-class hater,” attributing similar sentiments to Trump but noting that Trump’s hate serves a different purpose—his own recognition.
