Cam Taylor-Britt’s Recent Legal Troubles
Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt is currently facing undesirable attention.
Video footage from a severe car accident involving the NFL player in November has surfaced, just days after he was incarcerated for five days due to another traffic-related incident.
The surveillance video recorded on November 15 shows a black Jeep—where Taylor-Britt was a passenger—running a red light and crashing into a parked red Chevrolet Cruze.
The Jeep, registered to Taylor-Britt, ultimately overturned after the impact.
The police report lists him as a passenger in the vehicle. When officers arrived, the occupants of the Jeep had already departed, although Taylor-Britt’s brother, Jafavian Booker, returned later to speak to the authorities.
Initially, Booker claimed that a “female” driver, who was reportedly intoxicated, caused the collision and fled the scene.
However, he eventually admitted to being behind the wheel when the crash occurred, as captured by body camera footage.
At the time, Taylor-Britt revealed that his driver’s license was suspended.
Following the incident, he was seen chatting with a police officer at his home.
No arrests were made, and no charges were filed, with authorities stating that the case was never passed on to prosecutors as no crime was committed, according to Inspector Justin Bradbury.
This incident was not the end of Taylor-Britt’s legal issues. Earlier this month, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving and driving on a restricted license, leading to another five days in jail.
It’s worth noting that the day after this accident, Taylor-Britt participated in a game where he suffered a season-ending Lisfranc injury to his left foot.
