2026 Oregon commit Bryson Beaver to enter transfer portal following Dante Moore's choice

The Jets aren’t the only team feeling the impact of Dante Moore’s choice to return to Oregon.

Rookie quarterback Bryson Bieber from the Ducks, who recently signed with the Oregon State football team for the 2026 season, is anticipated to enter the transfer portal after Moore decided against going pro. This was reported by On3 on Wednesday.

Bieber will likely play his freshman season at a different school after enrolling in Eugene this winter.

Rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN and 247Sports, he could be a strong asset for the program that secures him.

On signing day last December, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning praised Beaver, noting how impressive his support system is. “You fall in love with the family. Bryson has an incredible group of people around him,” Lanning mentioned. He emphasized that, beyond talent, a quarterback must handle the mental demands of the role effectively. Bieber apparently checks all those boxes.

With Moore now set to return, he described his choice as a “very tough” decision during an appearance on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.” Many analysts had predicted that Moore would be picked second by the Jets, who need a quarterback.

This change in Moore’s status could shift draft strategies—will the Jets stick with their pick, or consider trading it?

Oregon is also expecting to see Dylan Raiola transfer from Nebraska to join the Ducks, unless circumstances change.

With a talented roster, Oregon State aims to make a significant impact next season after their recent loss to undefeated Indiana in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
