Sophie Turner has been putting in serious effort at the gym, and it shows.
On Thursday, Prime Video shared the first sneak peek of Turner in her new role as Lara Croft for the upcoming live-action series “Tomb Raider,” which is currently filming.
“Oh my god…she looks like she’s straight out of the game,” one user commented on X.
“Sophie Turner is really impressive as Lara Croft,” another quipped. “This adaptation on Prime Video should be fantastic.” I mean, I really can’t believe how amazing she looks.
“Wow! She’s perfect! I never expected her to choose such a classic style!” a fan remarked on Instagram.
Turner revealed on SiriusXM’s Julia Cunningham Show that she has been training intensely. When asked about her training regimen, she made an eye-opening admission.
“It’s been tough because I’ve been training eight hours a day, five days a week since February last year,” she shared.
When Cunningham posed the question of what surprised her most about her physical changes during this training, Turner responded, “I discovered I have permanent back issues, but I also learned that building certain muscles can be much easier if you’ve had a workout history. I didn’t, so it took me a long time to get into good shape.” That’s quite the revelation, isn’t it?
She also added, “In ‘Game of Thrones,’ I was the cool queen, but honestly, I didn’t need to be. Plus, I was usually the one getting hit, not throwing punches. So it’s actually useful to learn how to punch instead of just being the one punched.”
