Child Support Dispute Involving Hunter Biden
Lunden Roberts, who previously dated Hunter Biden and is the mother of his young daughter, is reportedly seeking his arrest related to unresolved child support issues.
Back in 2020, Biden had come to an agreement to make child support payments to Roberts to avoid a contempt of court situation, as reported by Breitbart News.
According to court documents reviewed by the New York Post, Roberts is requesting that an Arkansas judge “reopen the ex-lovers’ long-running lawsuit” and keep Biden in custody until he meets the terms of their settlement from 2023.
Biden had originally agreed to allocate a portion of his art sales to support their daughter but allowed Roberts to drop her request for their child to take his last name, reducing the required monthly payments from $20,000 to $5,000. Court-mandated DNA tests confirmed Biden is indeed the child’s father.
“Mr. Roberts backed her plea for Biden’s arrest, suggesting that he would only address child support if there were serious consequences,” the Post noted. “Roberts also wants a review of the child support terms, claiming Biden’s financial situation has changed substantially since the last court ruling, potentially affecting the benefits available to their daughter compared to those of the former president’s other grandchildren.”
Breitbart News stated that in 2019, Roberts started to look into financial records related to Biden’s role at Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy firm embroiled in corruption allegations linked to him and his father.
Fast forward to 2024, Roberts mentioned that President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill had yet to meet their then-5-year-old granddaughter.
At one point, Biden was reluctant to acknowledge Navy as his daughter, but he eventually reached a child support agreement with Roberts. Notably, it was only last year that President Biden publicly recognized Navy’s existence.
In a 2024 interview with Inside Edition, Roberts reflected on her past, revealing that she met Biden while working as a dancer in a Washington, DC, gentlemen’s club. She opened up about her struggles with addiction at that time.
“Hunter comes with a certain package, and you either accept that or not. He was definitely captivating, but there were complications,” Roberts commented.
