Jarrett Stidham's wife responds to Bo Nix's serious injury with the Broncos

Kennedy Stidham, Jarrett Stidham’s wife, posted a crossed-hands emoji on Instagram following the news that Bo Nix, the star quarterback for the Broncos, will be sidelined for the rest of the postseason due to a fractured right ankle.

Kennedy, who once played football at Baylor, has been with Stidham, 29, since they married in 2019. They have seen his journey from the Patriots to the Raiders, and now with the Broncos. They’ve celebrated significant moments, including his first NFL win. Now, she will watch her husband start in his fifth NFL game with a Super Bowl spot on the line.

The surprising update about Nix came after the Broncos’ exciting 33-30 overtime win against the Bills in the divisional round.

Coach Sean Payton returned to the press conference to deliver “bad news,” explaining that Nix hurt his ankle just three plays before Denver’s game-winning field goal in overtime.

During the second overtime, after a tough quarterback run, Nix was seen limping but didn’t need to do much afterward since a pass interference penalty led to Will Lutz’s 23-yard field goal.

Nix had a solid performance, completing 26 of 46 passes for 279 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, marking his first career playoff win.

If the Broncos make it back to the Super Bowl, it will likely hinge on Stidham. Since Payton took over as head coach in 2023, Stidham has been part of the team, even starting two games when Russell Wilson was out.

Though Stidham has only appeared in four games since joining the Broncos, he hasn’t had a chance to throw a regular-season pass.

His career began in 2019 when he was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round. To date, he has completed 117 passes for 1,422 yards, with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions over 197 games.

“Steedy is ready,” Payton told the media. “… He’s ready, he’s ready. I believe we have two quarterbacks capable of starting on many teams, and I know he feels the same. Just watch and see what happens.”

Next Sunday, Denver will face the winner of the matchup between the No. 2 seed Patriots and the No. 5 seed Texans, who are set to play Sunday afternoon.
