Christie Brinkley Embraces Creativity by the Beach

On Thursday, former Sports Illustrated cover model Christie Brinkley shared some fun moments from her beach day on social media. At 71, she looked fabulous in a black bikini top and shorts while showcasing a unique mirror she crafted over two decades ago.

In her post, Brinkley humorously mentioned, “If I try to distract you from the important news you see on Instagram, I’ll shut up and you can get back to the more pressing issues of the day. P.S. I made this using things I found on the beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands over 20 years ago.”

One follower commented, “But the most beautiful thing in these photos is the goddess walking between them!” Another added, “Your sister still looks amazing. I don’t mind distractions because you inspire me.” It’s nice to see that people appreciate her, not just for her looks but also for her talent and creativity.

In an interview with FOX & Friends last year, Brinkley talked about her secrets to staying fit for the camera. “I’ve been a vegetarian since I was a little girl,” she shared, expressing that she recently transitioned to a vegan diet. “If everyone would at least make an effort to be vegetarian or vegan… I’ve been vegan for the past year, probably a year.” She explained how this lifestyle change contributes to her well-being.

Brinkley enjoys a “rainbow diet,” focusing on colorful, nutrient-rich foods. “It strengthens my body, and you’re really only as good as what you eat,” she noted, adding that she never feels deprived. “If you happen to be traveling or it’s someone’s birthday, you have to eat cake. It’s bad luck not to take a bite of birthday cake,” she laughed. She balances treats with mindfulness, keeping an eye on her sugar intake.

Reflecting on her journey, Brinkley mentioned, “About a year ago, I went vegan. I’m really, really happy I did because I’ve never felt better.” She emphasized the importance of staying attuned to how her body feels rather than relying strictly on the scale. “I don’t step on the scale. Honest Jeans taught me the truth: I put them on and see how I feel.” With this approach, she feels empowered and positive.
