Cardi B Responds to NFL Live Picks
Cardi B was ready to respond.
The well-known rapper reacted to the “NFL Live” crew after they all picked Houston over her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, and the New England Patriots for their game on Sunday. The choice proved to be misguided when the Patriots won 28-16.
“What are you talking about?! Nothing! Nothing!” Cardi exclaimed in a video she posted on X, referring to a “SportsCenter” segment from January 16 that indicated the cast was favoring the Texans.
The game on Sunday in Foxborough was a bit of a mess due to the winter weather. Houston’s CJ Stroud had a rough first half, turning the ball over four times. On the other side, Patriots’ Drake Maye managed to throw three touchdown passes but also had an interception and fumbled four times.
The Patriots capitalized on the Texans’ mistakes, making their way to the AFC title game for the first time in seven years. They’re set to face the Broncos next Sunday, vying for a shot at the Super Bowl.
“They didn’t believe in us!!! I love us!!!!!! We have everything!!!!!! We have everything we need!!!!” Cardi posted on Sunday, adding the hashtag “Pats Nation.”
Fans have embraced Cardi, age 33, and 32-year-old Diggs during his first season with the Patriots. The acclaimed wide receiver, who played for teams like the Vikings and Texans, signed a three-year deal as a free agent.
In the game against Houston, Diggs had four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown, which prompted a spirited post from Cardi on his Instagram Story.
Cardi and Diggs made their relationship public in February of last year and confirmed it on Instagram in June. They welcomed a baby boy in November.
This season, however, hasn’t been without its drama. Diggs faced allegations of slapping and strangling his personal chef during a financial dispute in December. Recently, he received a postponement for his arraignment on those assault charges until February 13. Through his attorney, he has denied the accusations.
