Brooklyn Beckham Accuses Parents of Sabotaging His Marriage
On Monday, Brooklyn Beckham took to Instagram, posting a series of lengthy Stories where he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of attempting to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz.
He claimed that his parents were manipulating the media to create trouble in his relationship. Brooklyn specifically pointed out that his mother, Victoria, had pressured Nicola to halt production of her wedding dress, supposedly causing panic as they scrambled to find a new one.
He also mentioned an incident during their wedding where Marc Anthony was meant to perform a romantic song for their first dance. Instead, Brooklyn describes feeling uncomfortable when his mother interrupted and danced with him inappropriately, humiliating him in front of their guests. “I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and humiliated in my life,” he said.
Sources close to the Peltz family suggested that Victoria had done something similar on her own wedding day.
Brooklyn revealed that the tension between his family and Nicola has been building for some time. He alleged that his parents tried to pressure him into signing away the rights to his name prior to the wedding. “My resistance affected my payday, and they have never treated me the same way since,” he shared.
After years of silence, Brooklyn decided to speak out. “I’ve made every effort to keep these things private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team continue to make headlines, and I felt compelled to set the record straight regarding some of the lies out there,” he explained.
Brooklyn made it clear: “I don’t want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
The strain in Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents isn’t new; his younger brother, Cruz, claimed in December that Brooklyn had blocked both him and their parents. Reports from early January revealed that the Beckham family had been making attempts to reconnect with Brooklyn, but he requested that they only communicate through his lawyer.
In his public statements, Brooklyn expressed frustration over his family’s focus on public image, saying, “My family values public promotion and support above all else.” He argued that the Beckhams care more about their brand and projecting the image of a “perfect family” than they do about genuine familial bonds.
Brooklyn concluded with a heartfelt message, stating, “Neither my wife nor I want a life defined by images, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy, and happiness for ourselves and our future families.”
