David Beckham Skips Questions About Son’s Rants

On Tuesday, David Beckham chose not to respond to inquiries regarding his son Brooklyn Beckham’s recent criticisms of both him and Victoria Beckham.

A reporter for Sky News approached the retired soccer star during an event in Davos, Switzerland, asking, “David, do you have a message for Brooklyn this morning?” Beckham, who was engaged with fans, merely glanced at the journalist before moving on.

When the journalist pressed further, asking if he was disappointed that family matters were becoming public, Beckham did not look back. This encounter occurred at the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, where he was posing for photos.

Brooklyn, 26, took to Instagram on Monday to address ongoing family tensions, mentioning his parents’ allegedly “controlling” nature. He stated, “I don’t want to reconcile with my family.” In a series of posts, he claimed that David and Victoria attempted to undermine him, particularly regarding his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz.

In his remarks, Brooklyn shared his frustrations about a trip to London, expressing disappointment at being ignored by his father except on occasions involving large gatherings with cameras.

He further criticized the conditions under which David finally agreed to meet with him, noting it felt like a “slap in the face” when his father insisted that Nicola not be invited. Brooklyn remarked that even when his family visited Los Angeles, they refused to see him.

Brooklyn also accused Victoria of canceling plans related to preparations for Nicola’s wedding. This criticism included assertions about inappropriate behavior during the wedding, aligning with prior reports about tensions involving the former Spice Girl.

Defending his spouse, Brooklyn rejected the notion that Nicola was controlling him amidst the conflict. He articulated a sense of newfound peace and relief since distancing himself from his family, mentioning he had struggled with anxiety throughout his life. “Now, I wake up grateful for my life,” he said.

Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz, who began dating in 2019, were married in Florida three years later. They even renewed their vows in August 2025, aiming to create joyful memories, contrasting with past experiences filled with anxiety.
