Jimmie Johnson Reacts to Viral AI Video
Pro Football Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson expressed his frustration, joining the chorus of football fans, after an AI-generated video featuring him went viral during the College Football National Championship. The clip showed Johnson kissing a young woman on the sidelines and, understandably, he had something to say about it.
On Tuesday morning, Johnson took to his X account, declaring, “This is fake…this is so wrong!” Shortly after, the original post he was responding to was removed.
At 82 years old, Johnson attended the game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens where the Miami Hurricanes faced the Indiana Hoosiers. Johnson had previously coached the Hurricanes from 1984 to 1988, winning a national championship with them in 1987. He later became the head coach for the Dallas Cowboys.
In the game, Miami unfortunately fell short against Indiana. Despite their attempts, the Hurricanes couldn’t secure the necessary stops, and an interception by Miami quarterback Carson Beck on the final drive sealed the Hoosiers’ victory.
Reflecting on the game, Johnson noted, “The Canes came up short, but they had a good year.” Miami finished second in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll—marking the second time under coach Mario Cristobal that the team notched at least 10 wins, and the third time since achieving that milestone, having last won the Orange Bowl in 2003 under coach Larry Coker.
Looking ahead, the Hurricanes are gearing up for another attempt at success in the upcoming 2026 season.
