Anamaria Gortes, Luka Doncic’s fiancée, recently shared a reflection on the past decade, but interestingly, she left him out of her message about the “ups and downs” of life.
The model and influencer filled her Instagram post with photos from her modeling journey, her pregnancy, and moments with their two young daughters, yet there were no images of Doncic present.
“2016-2026. It’s been a decade of good times, hard lessons, and everything in between,” the 27-year-old wrote.
“There have been many ups and downs, but I will never change for a second ❤️,” she added, capturing a range of emotions.
Doncic, a six-time NBA All-Star, welcomed their second daughter on December 4.
The couple has generally kept their relationship out of the public eye. In fact, Doncic missed several Lakers games last month to be with Gortes during the birth of their child in Slovenia.
In more recent news, Doncic put on an impressive performance, achieving a triple-double with 38 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in a win against the Nuggets.
The Lakers are set to play the Clippers on Thursday night in Inglewood.
As of Monday, Doncic was among the top fan votes for this year’s Western Conference NBA All-Stars.
Doncic and Gortes got engaged in July 2023, months after announcing the birth of their first child, Gabriela, on Instagram in December 2022.
Gortes, who has graced the cover of Cosmopolitan Slovenia, once shared during an Instagram Q&A that she met Doncic “at the beach in Croatia when I was 12 years old.”
Doncic has mentioned that while Gortes isn’t particularly fond of basketball, she attends every game to support him.
“I met her in Croatia at the same camp I’m at now. We met when we were 11 years old. I don’t know, it was like that,” he reminisced during a 2023 TV appearance. “I’m really happy to have her; it’s been great and she’s helped me a lot.”
“It’s a lot of pressure outside. When we get home, we don’t talk about basketball at all. She doesn’t like basketball, but she goes to every game. I mean, she likes basketball now, but she didn’t. That’s good for me. I like it a lot.”
