MLB Clears Sean Huell After Abuse Allegations

Former Giants reliever Sean Huell has been exonerated by MLB following allegations of “abuse” made by his wife earlier this summer, according to a recent report.

The league completed its investigation and announced that Huell will not face any disciplinary measures.

This decision came after Caroline, Huell’s wife, shared several TikTok videos in June 2025, where she accused him of infidelity and described her experiences with “abuse.”

In one now-deleted TikTok, she wrote, “When my MLB husband left us this past Mother’s Day, I finally learned the truth and could no longer tolerate his abuse, so I’m raising our two boys alone.”

She went on to say in another video, “Yes, I’ve had to stay silent about this for far too long.”

When asked about the allegations back in June, Huell maintained a stance of silence, saying he had no comments at that moment.

After a game against the Red Sox on June 21, 2025, he told reporters, “I have no official comment right now. I want to actually talk to my agent and lawyer. This has been an ongoing situation for over a year. I just want to consult with the right people and determine the next steps.”

He added, “So, at this moment, I’m not ready to comment. I plan to do so eventually, but I don’t have a timeline. I want to make sure I discuss it with those involved before making any public statements.”

Huell, who played four seasons with the Giants, recently signed with Japan’s Orix Buffaloes of the Nippon Baseball League following a challenging 2025 season with San Francisco.

Standing at 6-foot-11, Huell appeared in 12 games for the Giants and holds the distinction of being one of the tallest players in MLB history, alongside former Mets reliever John Rauch. He finished the season with a 7.80 ERA and was eventually sent down to the minor leagues midway through.
