Video footage from FreedomNews.TV shows two men with rifles standing guard at the site where a man was shot and killed by federal agents on Saturday morning.
Breitbart News reported that the Department of Homeland Security indicated the shooting occurred when agents fired in defense after a man with a 9mm handgun approached and “violently resisted” efforts to disarm him.
The DHS stated that the man “had two magazines and no identification,” suggesting this was an attempt to inflict serious harm on law enforcement.
The deceased has been identified as Alex Preti.
This evening, at least two armed men were observed guarding the incident location.
On January 19, 2026, another video from FreedomNews.TV highlighted a man with an AR-platform rifle standing guard in a St. Paul neighborhood following an “ICE sighting.”
In the clip, when asked if the area is his neighborhood, he replied, “Yes, this is my block, my area. I don’t go into other people’s neighborhoods and try to intimidate them. I protect my own residents.”
Earlier this week, Arizona Attorney General Chris Mays (D) shared his views with 12 News, stating he doesn’t consider ICE “officers” to be “real law enforcement.”
Diving into Arizona’s “Stand Your Ground” law, Mays said, “We have masked federal agents with minimal, and sometimes no, identification, in plain clothes and masks. If you reasonably believe your life is in danger while at home, in your car, or on your property, you can defend yourself with deadly force.”
Senate Majority Leader John Kavanaugh (R) from Arizona has since called for Mays to “resign in shame” over his remarks.
