White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt took aim at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat who professes to support “law and order,” accusing him of disseminating “malicious lies about federal law enforcement officers.”
In a response on X, Leavitt reacted to Walz’s comment, suggesting that President Trump should “remove 3,000 untrained personnel from Minnesota” to prevent further violence.
Leavitt pointed out that Walz “authorized a mob to set fire to Minneapolis in the summer of 2020.”
“Tim Walz does not believe in law and order,” she remarked. “No bout of propaganda from his liberal media allies is going to change what Americans think. Under Tim Walz’s inept leadership, Minnesota has seen a massive fraud scheme costing taxpayers billions.”
Leavitt’s post continued:
Walz does not permit local and state law enforcement to collaborate with ICE to detain and deport dangerous illegal aliens from Minnesota.
Since Trump assumed office, Walz has freed around 500 illegal aliens who committed crimes, instead of handing them over to federal authorities.
Walz spreads falsehoods about federal law enforcement and puts the lives of those working to remove violent illegal aliens at risk.
His actions promoting chaos include encouraging left-wing activists to track and film federal officers during operations, leading to dangerous situations for those officers.
“President Trump will not waver from his commitment to deport violent illegal criminals from American communities, a pledge endorsed by nearly 80 million Americans opposed to the open borders policies of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” Leavitt stated.
She noted that in “states like Florida and Texas” and even in the capital, “effective cooperation between law enforcement agencies brings about peace and security.”
According to reports, President Trump previously accused Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of “inciting insurrection” following the shooting death of a 37-year-old man involving Border Patrol agents.
“Mayors and governors are stirring up insurrection with their arrogant statements,” Trump stated. “Instead, these pious political figures should be focused on investigating the billions stolen from Minnesotans and Americans. Let our ICE officers do their jobs!”
