Matt Kalil’s former spouse seeks to have the lawsuit regarding comments about his manhood dismissed.

Matt Kalil's former spouse seeks to have the lawsuit regarding comments about his manhood dismissed.

Haley Kalil’s attorney recently expressed confidence, stating that they believe a judge will grant their motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by her ex-husband, former NFL player Matt Kalil. This legal action came after Haley spoke openly about personal details of their marriage.

Matt, known for being a first-round pick by the Vikings in the 2012 NFL Draft, initiated the lawsuit earlier in the month. He accused Haley of “invasive commentary” and unjust enrichment after she made comments concerning his anatomy during a Twitch livestream in November 2025.

“We’re moving to dismiss these charges because Minnesota values free speech, now more than ever,” said Haley’s attorney, Matthew Bialik.

“Allowing lawsuits against women who have conveyed true personal stories about sexual trauma undermines these core values. We’re optimistic that these claims will not hold.”

In legal documents, Haley, who filed for divorce in 2022, mentioned that Matt had “anatomical incompatibilities that made regular sexual relations impossible,” adding that their relationship, although loving, was hindered by these unfortunate issues.

The court documents suggest that the lawsuit is attempting to impose civil liability against a woman who shared a truthful account of her experiences relating to the end of her marriage to a high-profile NFL player.

Matt’s lawyer countered, asserting that Haley’s claims will likely be “completely rejected” during legal proceedings. Ryan Saba of Rosen Saba LLP commented that, “Haley Kalil’s motion doesn’t contest the fact that she disclosed private and intimate details about Matt, leading to public ridicule and unwanted attention.” He added that a spouse shouldn’t profit from revealing confidential marital matters.

Diving back to that Twitch livestream, Haley stated that the size of Matt’s anatomy was a significant factor in their almost seven-year marriage ending, although she also praised him as a great man.

Warning: Graphic language

Haley, who wed Matt in Hawaii back in 2015, mentioned “irreconcilable differences” in her divorce filing.

Currently, Matt is living a quieter life as he is married to model Keilani Asmus since April 2024.

In his filing, Matt indicated that he has faced “unwanted public attention and invasive comments” and noted that his family, including his current wife, have endured the ongoing fallout from these degrading personal remarks.

The complaint claims that Haley divulged “very intimate and private facts about Matt’s body and sex life,” and there are also allegations of invasion of privacy against him.

He’s seeking more than $75,000 in damages and is requesting a jury trial.

Matt was drafted fourth overall by Minnesota in 2012 and had his first five career seasons with the Vikings, even making the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

After short tenures with the Panthers (2017-18) and Texans (2019), Matt retired and co-founded a tequila company, Celaya, with his brother Ryan Kalil, a former All-Pro center for the Panthers and Jets.
