Ice rink romances seem to be capturing attention on streaming platforms lately.
Viewers have become quite enamored with ice hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Conner Storey), stemming from a popular book series by Rachel Reid created by Jacob Tierney. Meanwhile, Netflix celebrated winter sports success with find her edge, a series inspired by Jennifer Iacopelli’s 2022 book of the same title, focusing on figure skating.
find her edge follows the Russo sisters—Elise (Alexandra Beaton), Adriana (Madeline Keyes), and Maria (Alice Malakhov)—as they navigate the challenges of a waning figure skating legacy. Adriana still has feelings for her past partner Freddie (Ollie Atkins) and begins training with Brayden (Kail Ambrosic), pretending they’re dating to secure a sponsorship.
The series currently sits at No. 4 on Netflix’s Top 10 U.S. TV Shows list. DECIDER’s Joel Keller suggested viewers check it out in his review, noting that if you’re in the mood for teenage angst and drama, this might not be the right pick. However, the performances are engaging enough to enjoy the overall light-heartedness of the series with family.
So, what’s the verdict? Can find her edge secure a season 2? Here’s the latest:
Will there be a season 2 of find her edge?
Netflix hasn’t announced anything yet regarding a second season of find her edge, but there’s reason to stay optimistic! The series just premiered over a week ago, on January 22nd, so there’s still time for renewal news. DECIDER will provide updates as they become available.
Ambrosic seems hopeful as well. In the Season 1 finale of I Love Revenge, his character Brayden hints at what’s next. He mentioned, “He knows what he’s going to do with it, and I think that sets up season two really, really well.”
While waiting for more information from Netflix, you can catch up on or rewatch Season 1 of find her edge on Netflix.
