Ray J’s Health Struggles and Future Outlook
Rapper Ray J, who gained notoriety in 2007 after the release of his sex tape with Kim Kardashian, has shared a troubling update about his health. He indicated that due to years of excessive drug and alcohol use, he might not survive until 2027. “2027 is definitely the end for me,” he said, making a throat-slitting gesture to emphasize his point. He mentioned that doctors have informed him his health is declining rapidly, attributing this to a long history of substance abuse.
Despite encouragement from friends off-camera to maintain a positive mindset, Ray J dismissed their optimism, simply stating, “That’s what they said. I don’t care.”
In an effort to explain his situation, he received pushback from someone off-camera, who urged him to think more positively and suggested he had time to see his children grow up. Visibly shaken, Ray J expressed his commitment to care for his family regardless of what happens. “My baby mama is going to be straight, my kids are going to be straight. I did my part,” he said, reflecting on his life choices. “I shouldn’t have tried so hard, brother. I shouldn’t have,” he added, shaking his head.
He claimed his health was declining to the extent that his heart was failing and noted that his complexion had turned “black,” indicating he felt defeated. He also mentioned plans to travel to Haiti for potential treatment options that might extend his life. Ray J recognized that years of drug abuse had left him in this precarious state, stating, “My time here has gone crazy.” He confessed to consuming “four or five bottles a day, 10 Addies,” which revealed his struggles with alcohol and Adderall.
Displaying a sarcastic attitude, Ray J remarked, “Nothing’s happening to me, I’m immortal,” poking fun at the bravado he once embraced regarding his lifestyle. He acknowledged the support of his family, thanking his parents and sister, singer Brandi, for their financial assistance as he navigates his health issues. Recently, reports surfaced about him being hospitalized in Las Vegas due to severe pneumonia and heart pain.
In a moment of stark honesty, he stated, “Burn me, stop burying me,” illustrating the depth of his struggles and the fight he faces moving forward.
