Several notable figures in football, including Kraft and legendary quarterback Tom Brady, shared their disbelief over this decision. Brady expressed his confusion, saying, “I don’t understand it. If he’s not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, who really is?” This sentiment of bafflement echoed through the community.

Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, who faced Belichick’s Patriots in his career, remarked on Twitter, saying the news was “insane” and questioned how it was possible that Belichick didn’t receive the necessary votes.
