The Hidden Impact of Illegal Immigration Reveals Democratic Hypocrisy

There are often unheard narratives surrounding illegal immigration and the environmental impact of discarded waste left behind. This issue is evident in Arivaca, Arizona, just 13 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. Michelle Davis, a local resident, has expressed her frustration with the trash accumulating on her property, a situation that reflects a broader problem along the southern border of Arizona where approximately 2,000 tons of garbage are scattered annually.

Davis highlighted the nature of the litter, saying, “It’s about carpet shoes and strips of shredding blankets. It’s not just people seeking work; it’s drug cartels. When you think about it, they’re practically in our backyard.” She finds it unacceptable for individuals to trespass without permission, noting that some people actively assist these individuals in crossing over.

Davis also pointed out a humanitarian organization that helps undocumented immigrants by providing necessities like water and food. This group, No More Death, sends volunteers to deliver aid as immigrants traverse the desert.

“If you want to help them, why not become a sponsor?” she questioned.

Being a resident at the southern border, Davis has firsthand experience with the consequences of unregulated immigration. Her perspective raises important questions. For instance, would a donor living in Beverly Hills who supports groups like No More Death really feel comfortable knowing that undocumented immigrants are traversing through their pristine neighborhoods, leaving behind debris? What about those who claim to advocate for environmental causes—do they have something to say regarding the destruction caused by illegal immigrants in the picturesque Southwest?

It’s hard to say. Many may be absorbed in other issues, like the civil unrest seen in places such as Minneapolis, perhaps making them less aware of the challenges experienced by those living at the border. Without a personal connection to the situation, it’s likely they remain indifferent to the lesser-known realities faced by residents like Davis.
