First Lady Melania Trump Talks About Barron’s Role in Campaign
In the lead-up to the film’s release, First Lady Melania Trump expressed her admiration for her son, Barron Trump, highlighting his significant involvement in his father’s campaign, something that may not be widely acknowledged.
During an appearance on “The Five,” President Trump elaborated on the upcoming documentary titled “Melania,” which explores her life from January 1 to January 20, 2025, just before Donald Trump was inaugurated as President for a second term.
Mrs. Trump described the intense filming schedule, noting it was a sharp contrast to her usual private lifestyle.
“That was my life,” she shared. “Cameras were with me constantly, documenting everything from morning till night. I had to juggle the organization of daily routines, family time, preparation for the inauguration, and various commitments, including philanthropy and setting up the East Wing office.”
She remarked on her choice to keep a low profile during her husband’s second term, emphasizing her privacy.
Life has certainly evolved for Barron, who is now Donald Trump’s youngest child. He was only 10 when his father first took office in 2016, and he transitioned to living in the White House with his family.
As of early last year, Barron was residing in New York while enrolled as a freshman at NYU’s Stern School of Business, staying at Trump Tower. However, he later transferred to the D.C. campus, allowing him to return to the White House during his sophomore year.
President Trump expressed pride in Barron, saying, “I’m so proud of him. He’s a great young man. Now he understands and he’s involved. He knows what’s happening in the world, engaging with both his parents.”
Melania continued to express her pride in her son’s contributions, especially during the 2024 campaign, where she noted his capacity to influence outcomes.
“He was very involved in the campaign,” she remarked. “He had great ideas, connecting with YouTubers and podcasts, and really took the initiative on this project.”
Previously, the president had attributed his son’s introduction to Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, as a pivotal moment in reaching younger voters during the 2024 campaign.
