Andrew Cuomo Returns to Airwaves in New York

New Yorkers are set to hear from Andrew Cuomo once again. The former governor is launching a new show on WABC Radio 77.

His program, titled “The Pulse of the People,” will kick off this Sunday at 5 p.m., featuring a one-hour format.

According to insiders, Cuomo won’t be paid for this venture, which might give him the space to express his views freely without backlash.

In a statement, Cuomo remarked on the current state of the nation, noting, “Never before has it felt like our country is more divided, our politics more polarized, and our public discourse more toxic.”

He elaborated, saying, “‘Pulse of the People’ aims to cut through the noise and negativity, focusing on meaningful, fact-based conversations that affect people’s lives. Throughout my career, I’ve concentrated on making government effective and delivering results, and I hope to continue this same straightforward approach with my new program.”

John Catsimatidis, the owner of WABC, has publicly welcomed Cuomo to his radio lineup, emphasizing the show’s intent to engage listeners on issues relevant to New Yorkers.

He stated, “This show will prioritize calls from listeners and open dialogue about the concerns and opinions of New Yorkers. WABC advocates for bipartisan discussions and thoughtful solutions, inviting listeners to engage in the conversation.”

Cuomo is expected to open the show with remarks and then take calls from the audience.

This move represents the Democratic Party’s first significant public shift after its recent setback in last year’s mayoral race, where it lost to Mayor Zoran Mamdani in the primary and subsequently ran as an independent in the general election.

Cuomo was governor from 2011 to 2021, resigning amid allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has consistently denied. His political experience also includes serving as the state attorney general and as federal housing secretary under President Bill Clinton.

Reports emerged last month about discussions between Cuomo and Catsimatidis regarding this radio show, and now it’s officially on the air.
