Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick Remain in 2026 Hall of Fame Class
Recent reports indicate that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft will remain part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s class for 2026, alongside Bill Belichick. Kraft is grouped with other notable figures like Ken Anderson, Roger Craig, and LC Greenwood. However, the expectation is that neither Kraft nor Belichick will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this time around.
The 84-year-old Kraft has been a devoted Patriots season ticket holder since the 1970s, eventually acquiring the team in 1994. When he bought the franchise, Bill Parcells was the head coach, and Pete Carroll coached the team for three seasons before Belichick took over.
Much of the Patriots’ success can be traced back to Belichick, particularly the pivotal decision to replace injured Drew Bledsoe with Tom Brady. This moment marked the beginning of an era that would see the Patriots secure six Super Bowl championships. Now, Kraft is gearing up for another Super Bowl appearance against the Seattle Seahawks.
Interestingly, both Kraft’s and Belichick’s removals from the induction process sparked confusion and disappointment among NFL fans.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed his support for both Kraft and Belichick’s induction, emphasizing their significant contributions to the game. He stated that the league had no say in the voting process and reaffirmed their worthy legacies. Still, the situation remains perplexing as no induction has occurred this week.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame class announcements are anticipated later this week.
