Trump criticizes CNN's Kaitlan Collins for her questions about Epstein documents: 'You are the worst reporter'

Trump’s Tense Exchange with CNN’s Collins on Epstein Files

President Donald Trump confronted CNN reporter Caitlan Collins during a discussion about associates named in recently released Jeffrey Epstein documents.

Collins probed whether the files had been altered after Epstein’s victims expressed concerns over redactions.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for ten years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile on your face,” Trump remarked. Collins pointed out that among those mentioned in the files were Democrats, Elon Musk, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

She inquired if Trump had reviewed the new documents, to which he shrugged off, saying, “I didn’t do that. I have a lot of work to do,” and added, “You named two people, and I think they’re okay.”

Collins highlighted that many female survivors of Epstein were unhappy with the extent of the redactions, stating some interviews were entirely obscured.

Trump responded, “Now that nothing has been revealed about me, I think it’s time for the country to move on to something else.”

Collins followed up: “But what do you say to people who feel they haven’t been given justice, Mr. President?”

In a sharp retort, Trump said, “You are truly terrible. You are the worst reporter. No wonder CNN can’t get ratings because of people like you.”

“You know, she’s a young woman. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile,” he continued. “You know why you’re not laughing? Because you know you’re not telling the truth. You’re a very dishonest organization and they should be ashamed of you.”

Collins argued that these were survivors of sexual abuse.
