Tucson, Arizona – Savannah Guthrie, co-host of NBC’s “Today,” along with her siblings, has made a heartfelt public appeal on Instagram regarding their missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, who is 84 years old. They urged anyone with information about her situation to come forward. Authorities in Arizona have indicated evidence of a crime and potential ransom demands.

In the family’s message, Savannah expressed gratitude for the support they’ve received and described their mother as the heart of their family, highlighting her health issues and immediate need for medication. “She’s a kind, loyal, and fiercely loving woman,” she noted. “Her grandchildren adore her, and she loves adventure.” Savannah emphasized the urgency, stating, “Her health is fragile, and she doesn’t have her medicine.” She also mentioned media reports regarding the ransom.

Nancy Guthrie May Have Been Abducted

Authorities believe Nancy may have been taken from her home. Law enforcement has been active in the investigation, with deputies returning to her residence to collect more evidence. They were seen putting up crime scene tape and utilizing a K-9 unit, although details were sparse.

Annie Guthrie, Savannah’s sister, addressed their mother directly in a tearful message, expressing the family’s longing for her return. “We just want you back. We miss you,” she said. Officials from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been conducting follow-up investigations, continuing their search for any leads.

The circumstances surrounding Nancy’s disappearance remain unclear. She was last seen at her home on Saturday night, and authorities reported finding a droplet of blood near the front door. Local residents alerted the family when Nancy didn’t attend church services on Sunday, prompting them to reach out to law enforcement later that day.

President Trump reportedly reached out to Savannah to assure her that every resource would be allocated to finding her mother. Savannah expressed gratitude for this support and praised the ongoing efforts of the authorities.

The White House has also released a statement urging the public to assist in the search, offering prayers for Nancy’s safe return. Savannah reiterated the family’s need for assistance, stating on Instagram, “We need you.”

“We believe in prayer and in the goodness of humanity,” she added, asking the public to join in raising prayers for their beloved mom, a woman deeply rooted in faith.
