Savannah Chrisley Addresses “The View” Experience
Savannah Chrisley is gearing up to guest host “The View” during the week of February 16th. In a recent post, she acknowledged the negative comments directed at her family by some of her co-hosts. “I’ll be co-hosting @TheView the week of February 16th!” she shared on Thursday, adding that she values discussions with those who differ in opinion. “I stand for faith, family, and freedom,” she stated.
She continued with a message about the hope for unity, but it’s clear she hasn’t forgotten the past criticisms: “Grace does not need amnesia.”
To provide some background, Savannah’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion, receiving a pardon from President Trump in May 2025 after serving two and a half years of a combined 19-year sentence. Throughout this whole ordeal, they’ve maintained their innocence.
However, Joy Behar, a co-host on “The View,” criticized the government’s decision to pardon the Chrisleys. She expressed discontent with the view that wealthy reality stars can evade consequences for their actions while marginalized individuals face scrutiny. “The administration suggests that if you’re a reality star with money and committed fraud, that’s acceptable,” Behar remarked, tapping into the larger conversation about social justice and economic disparity.
Behar underscored her point by saying that some individuals who genuinely need assistance might not receive it under the current administration.
Responding to the backlash, Savannah Chrisley spoke on her podcast “Unlocked,” recalling how she felt when her family was criticized by prominent personalities on the show. “So…these anchors or personalities were bashing my family and bashing me,” she reflected, also noting that some expressed skepticism about her being pardoned.
She later mentioned that co-hosting “The View” is stepping out of her comfort zone, particularly as she will be conversing with women who might not share her views. “I’m really looking forward to it because I know God’s hand is on me throughout the whole experience,” she added, indicating a sense of anticipation despite any discomfort.
While ABC has not issued a comment regarding the situation, Chrisley appears ready to engage with contrasting perspectives on the show.
