Nancy Guthrie's ransom request reportedly has a significant deadline on Monday.

Update on Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance

Harvey Levin, the founder of TMZ, mentioned that a ransom note connected to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance included a second, more urgent deadline. This was stated during an appearance on Fox News, although he didn’t provide specifics on why this second deadline holds greater significance.

It seems that, well, the deadline from Thursday has already passed, according to some sources.

Levin explained that the letter claimed Guthrie was “safe but scared,” repeatedly mentioning that she was aware of the demands being made. He noted that certain phrases in the communication suggested the sender might be located in Arizona.

Interestingly, Levin expressed skepticism about the FBI’s ability to trace the memo’s sender and confirmed that the Bitcoin address in the ransom was valid. He described the letter as meticulously organized, rather than a hastily thrown together note. “This is not something that was jotted down in a few minutes; it has a specific structure,” he said, distancing it from anything generated by AI.

The ransom note reportedly detailed the interior of Guthrie’s home, but authorities have not yet verified its authenticity or confirmed if the note is legitimate. Guthrie, a co-host of a popular daytime show, was last seen at 9:48 PM on Sunday after being dropped off by her son-in-law. Shortly after, her doorbell camera stopped functioning, and an outdoor security camera captured some movement about half an hour later.

No one has seen her since then. There are also reports that some blood was found at the scene, leading authorities to suspect she may have been forcefully taken. The FBI is actively investigating the situation. In a recent phone call, former President Trump assured Savannah Guthrie that he would ensure authorities got any necessary support.

On Wednesday, Savannah’s brothers released a video where she spoke directly to their mother, who was accompanied by her siblings. “We’re doing our best as a family,” Savannah said. “We want to communicate, but we have to be cautious in this world of manipulated images and voices. We need to know she is alive.” Following this, Savannah’s brother put out another video requesting verification of their mother’s wellbeing.

The situation has taken a difficult turn for the Guthrie family as they face overwhelming speculation online. It’s clear that, given the sensitivity of kidnapping cases, authorities are extremely careful about what information they choose to release; they don’t want to provoke the kidnappers unnecessarily.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for any information that might lead to locating Guthrie.
