While some social media users are divided over Bad Bunny’s halftime show, R&B artist Chris Brown seems to be making his intentions clear about wanting a shot at performing during the Super Bowl. Brown’s comment followed Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl LX held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
He posted on Instagram, “I think it’s safe to say… they need me!” which caught the attention of many. This reaction came amid criticism of Bad Bunny’s show from various quarters, including former President Donald Trump, who took to Truth Social to express his displeasure.
Trump didn’t hold back, labeling the performance “absolutely awful,” claiming it insulted American values and standards. He criticized the language barrier, saying, “No one can understand a word this guy is saying,” and referred to the dancing as inappropriate, particularly for children watching.
Interestingly, Trump continued his critique, suggesting that the halftime performance was a “slap in the face” to the country, despite ongoing successes in various sectors. His call for NFL changes in programming stirred further discussions.
In contrast, several sports figures showed their support for Bad Bunny. JJ Watt described the show as a “vibe,” even without grasping the lyrics, and Jalen Brunson shared his appreciation for the artist’s performance.
Looking ahead, Super Bowl XI is set for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
