Logan Paul responds to brother Jake's critique of Bad Bunny's performance at the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show

Brotherly Dispute Over Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show

In a clash between the Paul brothers, Logan Paul pushed back against Jake Paul’s negative remarks regarding Bad Bunny’s halftime show during Super Bowl LX.

The tension started when Jake used X to express that he didn’t watch the Grammy-winning artist’s performance, suggesting others should do the same.

Jake tweeted to his followers, “Let’s come together and show big corporations that they can’t do whatever they want without consequences (which for them equals ratings). You are their profit. Recognize that you have the power. Stop this halftime.” He went further, labeling Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican-born artist, a “fake American citizen who is publicly performing to hate America.”

“I can’t support that,” Jake concluded.

Logan, 30, reacted to his brother’s comments by stating, “I love my brother, but I don’t agree with this.” He championed Puerto Rican culture and expressed his pride in the representation during the halftime show, adding in his post that “Puerto Ricans are Americans, and I’m glad they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island.” Logan has a $32 million home in Puerto Rico, which reflects his connection to the island.

Following Jake’s criticism, he sought to clarify his earlier statements with a subsequent tweet. He explained, “The problem with my tweets is that the word fake is misunderstood. He is not a fake citizen; he is clearly a Puerto Rican, and I love Puerto Rico and all Americans who support this country. However, if you are publicly criticizing ICE, which openly hates America, I’m going to talk about it.” Jake emphasized he has used his platform to support Puerto Rico, yet, he maintained that being critical of the nation while benefiting from it is contradictory.

Bad Bunny, who previously starred in WWE, headlined the Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium, delivering an array of his hits like “Tití Me Preguntó,” “Yo Perreo Sola,” and “DtMF.” The performance featured guest appearances from stars including Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, contributing to a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture.

While Bad Bunny’s show had its share of supporters, it also faced backlash, notably from former President Trump, who labeled it “one of the worst shows ever.” He critiqued the performance on Truth Social, calling it an insult to American standards, and noted that the lyrics were hard to understand, particularly for younger viewers.
