News Anchor Shares 'Inaccurate Information' About Child Actor in Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Accusations of Misinformation Post-Super Bowl

A CNN anchor, known for previously spreading misinformation, faces new allegations of similar behavior following Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Jim Squitt from CNN is at the center of this controversy, particularly over a claim involving a young boy named Liam Ramos. A post by Ed Klassenstein suggested that Ramos was the child featured during a halftime performance with rapper Bad Bunny, leading some leftist commentators to assert that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had detained him back in January.

However, the information was disputed. A screenshot from a tweet made it clear that the child in question was not Ramos, but an actor named Lincoln Fox.

Interestingly, Fox seemed to confirm this on his Instagram account, where he shared a photo from the halftime show. He wrote about how emotional it was to play the role of a young Benito, referencing the significance of dreams and expressing support for Liam Ramos.

Bad Bunny’s real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, and while the halftime performance sparked various reactions, some audience members described it as “boring” and “terrible.”

In January, Vice President J.D. Vance refuted claims from establishment media, asserting that ICE did not apprehend Ramos in Minnesota. Reports indicated that ICE officials had to care for the young boy after his father unexpectedly fled, leaving him behind.

Squit isn’t unfamiliar with controversy; in 2018, he delivered two stories that were later proven false in just a week’s time. Moreover, it’s worth noting that Breitbart News highlighted in 2019 that Brian and Ed Klassenstein, who gained notoriety through their anti-Trump tweets, were banned from Twitter for alleged misconduct involving fake accounts.
