Maxx Crosby’s Stance on the Raiders is Clear
It seems Maxx Crosby has made his feelings about the Raiders quite known.
An unnamed general manager claims that Crosby told Tom Brady, the new minority owner of the Raiders, that he’s not interested in playing in Las Vegas anymore. “He mentioned he would retire before suiting up for them again,” the GM said. Jason La Canfora remarked on this, although he expressed uncertainty about whether a trade would actually happen. It’s worth noting that Myles Garrett had a similar situation last year, and he’s still in Cleveland, now with a record for sacks.
Interestingly, another general manager shared his thoughts on possible trade scenarios, saying, “Someone might offer two first-round picks, but I doubt they’ll go for it. We really need to beat them.”
Crosby’s comments came on the heels of some tension with the organization. After dealing with a knee injury midseason, he thought he could finish the year. However, he ended up being suspended for the Raiders’ last two games as the team focused on securing the top draft pick. In a moment of frustration, Crosby reportedly left the Las Vegas facility.
He later downplayed the situation, saying, “I can’t say much about the nomination. I’m not playing for that. My job is to be the best defensive end in the world, and that’s my daily focus.”
Despite missing the final games of the season due to injury, Crosby has been at the center of trade rumors lately. After the disappointing end to the season, Raiders general manager John Spytek acknowledged that Crosby “represents what a Raider is,” but he didn’t disclose whether Crosby is untradeable.
Reports suggest that if issues continue with the Raiders, Crosby could be traded. After his minor meniscus surgery, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport indicated that a move might occur post-2026 NFL Draft in April.
However, Crosby has insisted he didn’t seek a trade and left Las Vegas without further comment this past Monday.
As the Raiders prepare for the upcoming season under new head coach Clint Kubiak, they also need to determine their first draft pick—Crosby, it seems, has added yet another challenge to the team’s already troubled situation.
