Greg Gutfeld Suggests Polygraph Tests in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld has urged Nancy Guthrie’s family, including her daughter Savannah Guthrie, to undergo polygraph tests, expressing his confusion over the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the family matriarch.
During a recent broadcast of “Gutfeld!”, he questioned whether everyone had been polygraphed, noting that Savannah might have offered to take the test to dispel any speculation about her possible involvement. He called attention to a ransom note that had been sent to media outlets, demanding Bitcoin for the safe return of the 84-year-old, suggesting it raised doubts.
“It seems like a ruse to me,” he commented, asserting that if the goal was indeed to secure a ransom, targeting high-profile outlets wasn’t the way to go. He suggested that the real negotiations would happen quietly, away from the public eye.
Gutfeld also posited that if Savannah went public with her willingness to take a lie detector test, it might eliminate suspicions of family involvement, since it would pressure the rest of the family to follow suit. He mentioned the importance of transparency in this troubling situation.
The host went on to say that it could be beneficial for all family members to participate, stating, “If your daughter is ready to take the test publicly and you refuse, that raises questions.” He expressed the need for a deeper look into the family’s financial background, distancing his remarks from the ransom issue itself, and instead focusing on who might have financial motives.
Nancy was first reported missing on February 1st after she was last seen by her son-in-law, who had dropped her off at home around 9:45 p.m. the night before. Arizona authorities have yet to identify any suspects in this perplexing case.
