Jason Aldean gets involved in the dispute with Zach Bryan regarding the TPUSA halftime show performance

Jason Aldean had a straightforward reaction to Zach Bryan’s ongoing criticisms following the alternative halftime show by Turning Point USA. Bryan took shots at Aldean and Brantley Gilbert, who performed “Dirt Road Anthem” during the event on February 8. Bryan shared a video of himself and Harley Carmichael doing a parody of Gilbert’s song, which Aldean had included in his 2010 album “My Kinda Party.”

Gilbert seemed to take the jab lightly, posting a video of himself munching on a chili dog in response to Bryan’s parody, which altered the lyrics to mention “hot dogs and chili.” In his caption, he playfully remarked, “You can climb the fence all you want. You’re not going to get my chili dog,” referencing a moment where Bryan was seen climbing a fence after having an altercation with another country artist.

Aldean humorously commented, “That’s the best song I’ve ever heard from that guy,” referring to Bryan’s parody. This exchange came about after Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl LX, where Bryan had initially criticized Turning Point USA’s halftime show on Instagram.

Aldean later shared a video that depicted Bryan’s friends watching the TPUSA show on a phone while Bad Bunny’s act played on their TV. He also mentioned a message he received from a follower expressing disappointment in Bryan, calling him a “sellout” and accusing him of losing touch. Bryan responded, stating, “A lot of adults throw tantrums…their own halftime shows are embarrassing as hell.” The show, featuring Gilbert, Kid Rock, Lee Bryce, and Gabby Barrett, was streamed on YouTube concurrently with Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance.

Fans quickly reacted to Bryan’s remarks, questioning his patriotism and poking fun at the situation. One fan wrote, “Where did your patriotism go?” while another questioned, “Look who wasn’t invited to the Super Bowl or Turning Point halftime show.” Others teased Bryan for allegedly being envious of Kid Rock, suggesting his irritation was indicative of a much deeper issue.
