Nancy Guthrie’s Kidnapping Investigated as a Botched Robbery

Authorities suspect that the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, an 84-year-old, may have stemmed from a failed robbery rather than a deliberate abduction, according to reports.

Insider information suggests that the incident appears to be a robbery gone wrong. However, there’s also a prevailing belief among investigators that Nancy might still be alive.

The investigation, now entering its 15th day, has seen her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, posting an emotional plea on Instagram. She urged the kidnappers to “do the right thing” and come forward. She expressed her hope, saying, “It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken, and we still believe.” It’s clear she’s holding onto hope, which is both touching and heartbreaking.

In an ongoing effort to gather clues, police are waiting for DNA results from a Range Rover SUV found parked about two miles from Guthrie’s residence. The vehicle was towed after detaining the driver for questioning, who was later released.

Additionally, the FBI has collected DNA from a glove connected to a suspect seen on doorbell camera footage from the night Nancy disappeared.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos advised the community to brace for increased police presence as the investigation unfolds. The case remains tense, with its complexities hanging heavily in the air.
