Adam Carolla on Obama’s Homelessness Speech
Comedian Adam Carolla shared his thoughts on “The Adam Carolla Show” recently, referring to former President Barack Obama as a “word salad wizard” following Obama’s remarks about homelessness.
In a speech delivered in Los Angeles, Obama discussed the issue of homelessness. Carolla watched a clip of the speech and compared Obama to Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he described as “stupid word salad people” but acknowledged that Obama has a certain talent.
“He’s an accomplished word salad person,” Carolla stated. “AOC and Kamala are like clumsy magicians. There are skilled magicians too, but none actually possess magical abilities. So, he’s a word salad magician.” He elaborated that neither Ocasio-Cortez nor Harris communicate effectively, calling it “artfully talking about nothing.”
California’s homeless population is around 187,000, making it the state with the largest number of homeless individuals in the U.S., according to Housing and Urban Development data released in December 2024.
Obama expressed concern in an interview, saying, “It’s a moral and ethical atrocity for a wealthy country to have people living on the streets. We should support policies that recognize the humanity of homeless individuals and provide the necessary aid and resources.” He also noted that most people wouldn’t want to live in tent cities and that political support for aid, like drug treatment and temporary housing, requires a more nuanced approach than simply saying it’s not the homeless people’s fault.
During the interview, Cohen asked Obama if aliens are real. The former president confirmed that there might be life elsewhere in the vast universe, but clarified later that the immense distances between solar systems make it unlikely that we’ve been visited by extraterrestrial beings or seen any evidence of them during his presidency.
