Democrats faced some teasing recently for not including one of their most beloved presidents in their President’s Day message. This became apparent when former President Bill Clinton was noticeably absent from the images shared, which featured others like John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, and Barack Obama.
To give it some context, during the terms of Roosevelt and Biden, Clinton was among the few Democratic presidents who weren’t featured, alongside Harry Truman.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) couldn’t resist the opportunity and retweeted a post from the Democratic Party, including a picture of Clinton, looking concerned beside Hillary Clinton. They added a playful caption asking, “Am I forgetting anyone again?”
Fox News Digital reached out to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to inquire if this omission was deliberate, also contacting the Clinton Foundation for any comments.
In a twist, the Republicans showcased their own image for President’s Day, featuring a colorful Mount Rushmore with President Trump positioned next to Abraham Lincoln.
The Department of Health and Human Services even chimed in, acknowledging leaders who have shaped the country and featuring a composite image of Presidents Trump, Lincoln, and George Washington.
Clinton, renowned as one of the most popular presidents, has certainly had his share of controversies. Back in the day, Kenneth Starr investigated him for a land deal known as “Whitewater.” While Clinton wasn’t charged with anything wrong, his Arkansas partners faced convictions related to the deal.
Interestingly, this whole situation led to Starr uncovering the infamous Monica Lewinsky scandal, where Clinton was accused of having an affair with a White House intern. During a press conference on January 26, 1998, Clinton famously denied the allegations, asserting, “I did not have a sexual relationship with that woman.” He maintained his innocence, claiming he had never asked anyone to lie about the situation.
