Victoria Jones’ Cause of Death Revealed

The cause of death for Victoria Jones was disclosed on Tuesday, following the discovery of her body in a San Francisco hotel six weeks prior. The 34-year-old daughter of renowned actor Tommy Lee Jones died due to “the toxic effects of cocaine,” as confirmed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The death was deemed an “accident.”

Victoria was found unresponsive inside the Fairmont San Francisco on January 1. Earlier reports indicated that audio from the emergency call suggested an overdose might have occurred.

The San Francisco Fire Department indicated that they received a medical emergency call from the hotel around 2:52 a.m. on January 1. Paramedics conducted an assessment upon their arrival and unfortunately pronounced the situation an emergency. The emergency call had been categorized with a “Code 3 – Overdose, Color Change,” according to the 911 audio.

Law enforcement arrived on the scene about 22 minutes later, at around 3:14 a.m., and identified the deceased as Victoria.

Following the announcement of her unexpected death, Tommy Lee Jones issued a statement through Fox News Digital, thanking everyone for their support and asking for privacy during this challenging time.

Prior to Victoria’s death, Tommy Lee had sought to establish a conservatorship for his daughter. He filed a motion for temporary conservatorship on August 7, 2023, with a temporary conservator being appointed shortly after. Interestingly, just four months later, Tommy Lee filed to terminate the conservatorship.

In the years leading up to her passing, Victoria had faced several legal issues, including an arrest for public intoxication and resisting a police officer in Santa Cruz, California, in May 2025.

Victoria was the child of Tommy Lee and his ex-wife, Kimberly Crawley. The couple was married from 1981 to 1996 and also have a son, Austin.
